FREE UNIQUE ROW CHECKER
This classic v-neck pattern is inspired by today’s fashion trend for placing the interesting detail in the sleeves. However, note the cabled ribs in the sleeves are actually mock cables.
The pattern is knit in one piece, from the top down with no seams to be sewn. The neck shaping is worked, then the rest of the yoke is worked in the round while incorporating the twisted cable rib stitch into the sleeves. At the underarm the body and sleeves stitches are separated and each section is continued in the round. Stitches for the neck band are picked up and ribbing is created to match the hem and cuffs.
So toss your cable needle and have more fun knitting this cable sleeved sweater.

This sweater was designed for the following yarn. 4 color options
HiKoo’s Kenzie, 50% New Zealand Merino, 25% Nylon, 10% Angora, 10% Alpaca, 5% Silk Noils
Kenzie just may be the perfect tweed. New Zealand merino, angora and alpaca lend softness and body, nylon lends strength and silk noils contribute delicate texture and color accents. The smooth, round 3-ply yarn knits into a cohesive fabric that blooms when wet blocked. The angora haze is just fuzzy enough to lend a cozy feel, but not so fuzzy that it will obscure any stitch patterning.
