Designed for a super chunky weight, this pattern knits up in a matter of days. A simple combo of knit and purl stitches makes the basket weave pattern easy and fun to knit.
This design is worked from the top down, in one piece, and has no seams at all. And like all top-down sweaters, you can easily check the fit—shoulders, chest, sleeves, length—as you knit. Pattern and Row Checker
This pattern is nicely printed on card stock in a handy pocket size. A list of all abbreviations, glossary of terms, and a crisp schematic with dimensions for proper blocking are included. It also comes with my unique Row Checker. A tool you can use to help keep track of your stitch count, row number, increases, and decreases. Throughout the pattern you’ll find indicators of when to refer to your Row Checker.

Brown Sheep’s Burly Spun, 100% Wool
Chunky, woolly, and warm, this single-ply wool will stand the test of time. Spun and dyed in the USA, it’s a great choice for a warm, winter knit. Hand wash, dry flat.
Skeins needed for S(M,L,XL) = 6(6,7,8)
Gauge: 10 sts and 14 rows = 4"/10cm, in basket weave pattern on larger needle

The kit for this sweater, complete with pattern and yarn, comes in a backpack-style project bag. On the front of the backpack is a zippered pouch with a porthole. You can insert the ball of yarn from which you’re knitting and run the yarn through the porthole, so if you like, you can even knit while walking down the street.
