For those occasions, here is a design that combines diagonal stripes with a bit of texture. The result is interest for the sock knitter and the perfect solution for the one who wears them.

This pattern is nicely printed on card stock in a handy pocket size. A list of all abbreviations and glossary of terms are included. It also comes with my unique Row Checker. A tool you can use to help keep track of your stitch count, row number, increases, and decreases. Throughout the pattern you’ll find indicators of when to refer to your Row Checker.

HiKoo’s CoBaSi 55% Cotton, 16% Bamboo, 8% Silk, 21% Elastic Nylon
This fiber blend is wool free to avoid irritation or over heating, soft and gentle on the hands with a wool-like stretch and machine washable.

Skeins needed for this pattern: 2

Gauge: 36 sts and 52 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch

How about a pair of handmade quiet, dressy socks with a little shout of color along the outer side of the leg? These socks are great all by themselves or as a complement to our Max Color Point tie and pocket square. The triangular color point is repeated on the outer leg and echoed in textured knitting on the inner side of the leg. So, if you like knitting socks enjoy knitting this discreet design that’s not really all that shy.
