Knitting Help
For your convenience, we’ve collected definitions for abbreviations, links to tutorial videos that may make knitting your project easier and more fun, as well as guides to techniques and tailoring. Visit the Knitting Help page on our website.

Pattern
Caribe is a tribute to the Virgin Island Oceanographic Park created to protect the waters, sea life and reefs that surround the island of Saint John. The scarf or wrap pattern is worked in the rather amazing shadow knitting technique, which is simple knit and purl stitches in 2 colors. When viewed directly, you see only stripes but from an angle a school of fish magically appear. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

Yarn
HiKoo’s CoBaSi+, Light Worsted, 55% Cotton, 16% Bamboo, 8% Silk, 21% Elastic Nylon

In this amazing blend of fibers, the cotton and bamboo are the basis for a washable yarn, silk adds strength, and elastic nylon helps the finished garment hold its shape. The result is soft and gentle with a wool-like stretch.

The on-screen color representations for yarn may not be precise representations of actual colors due to variance in monitor calibrations.

Gauge
21 sts and 32 rows = 4"/10cm, washed and blocked.

Testimonials

Sophisticated, elegant, stylish, chic. After seeing James’ collection, I may give up needlepoint.

Patsy A.

These designs take men's sweaters to a whole new level of luxury and deliciousness. Might have to get a new man once my divorce goes through, just so I can knit him a James Cox Knits sweater.
