A few months ago, I was inspired to create multi-colored mosaic knitting in single rows rather than the traditional double rows. I tried a few graphic patterns each created a beautiful result with only two colors. Then I wondered, could I create a lovely knitted fabric with single rows but rotate three colors? I tried slipping every other stitch in every row. The result is a six-row repeat in which slip stitches in each row nestle in between the one above and below. Plus, the back side is beautiful too. I love this fabric. It is firm yet still maintains a nice drape. Now, I have started working on a designer knitting pattern for a sweater that will complement the Lucca Cowl knitting pattern. I hope to share it with you soon. In the meantime, please try my Lucca Cowl. It is a very nice introduction to my new 3-color mosaic knitting technique. — Cheers, James
