As Mother's Day approaches I reflected on mothers being celebrated in countries around the world. When I checked to see when people in different countries celebrated. I discovered a fact worth sharing. This year, 9 countries honored mothers on International Women's Day, when women and men come together around the globe to celebrate the social, cultural, economic, and political advancements women have made for society. These countries are Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Laos, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Uzbekistan. Then I realized that 25 countries celebrated mothers during the month of March, which is Women's History Month. All of which causes me to be eager to celebrate my mom come May 13th. — James
