The shadow knitting technique is truly delightful - yet it is very easy - just knit and purl stitches. The fun part is watching a graphic design appear and disappear as you view the work coming off your needles. If viewed straight on the pattern is stripes. When this Caribe pattern is viewed from an angle a school of little fish appears. It’s a bit like a snorkeling trip to the Caribbean. You’ll work in sets of 4 rows. The first pair in one color and the second in another. The first and third rows are knit, the second row is a pattern of knit and purl stitches. The fourth row is the same as the second, but the knits become purls and the purls become knits. Just follow the chart that comes with the pattern, and a bit of magic will turn your handiwork into a beautiful image. And in the case of Caribe, little fish will begin to swim along with you as you finish your new project. Cheers, James
