Pattern
If you like options, you’ll love this versatile hat and ear warmer. With one kit you can choose to knit a luxuriously soft ear warmer or, if you prefer, a hat that will keep the entire head warm. And there is an additional bonus. Both the hat and ear warmer are reversible, made up of two light-weight layers. The outer layer includes a decorative band of Fair Isle pattern. Pick from two classic patterns—gingham check or chevron—to customize your knit. The inner layer, which is seamlessly knit off of the outer layer, features solid bands of color. Both layers are worked in the round and are attached at the peak of the hat and/or along the edges. Turn the lined hat or ear warmer inside out for a dramatically different look and you’ve got one classy accessory that’s actually two.
Yarn
Merino Soft – 100% Merino Extra Fine – Sport
This superior grade of merino wool is so soft and gentle in your hands and on your skin you may not believe it is actually wool.

Gauge
22 sts and 30 rows = 4"/10cm, in pattern stitch
