ABOUT THIS DESIGN
Audrey will surprise you twice. First, these intricate-looking bands are simpler than they appear. Mosaic knitting is the most delightful way to work with color. You knit each row with only one color at a time, using slip stitches that eliminate half the floats on the wrong side. The second surprise? The yarn itself. Ecopuno looks, feels, and behaves like the luxurious alpaca and merino blend it is, yet it's 72% cotton. Be prepared to be surprised as you work this project—and delighted when you finish it.

THE YARN
Ecopuno – 75% Cotton, 17% Merino, 11% Alpaca – 235 yards/215 meters – 50 grams – DK weight

This yarn is a remarkable blend of alpaca and soft merino wool wrapped with micro threads of cotton. It has excellent stitch definition with the elasticity and bounce of animal fibers. Yet it's mostly cotton—almost unbelievable. If in the past you haven't enjoyed working with cotton, this yarn will change your mind.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Gauge: 26 stitches and 34 rows = 4"/10cm in mosaic pattern, washed and blocked
Check your gauge before and after blocking to monitor tension and match dimensions.
