Designer Knitting Pattern
The designer knitting pattern presents a new fun way to create ribbing. The sleeves are worked entirely in two-by-two ribbing with the columns of knit stitches in cables that are fashioned without a cable needle. This top-down sweater is knit in one piece – no seams. And it was designed for Trendsetter’s Basis, a variegated yarn with subtle color transitions that are a delightful compliment to the cabled sleeves.
This pattern includes instructions for all sizes, a list of all abbreviations, a schematic for accurate blocking, and a glossary of terms. It is accompanied by our proprietary StitchSaver™ Row Checker. Plus, a link is provided to Knitting Help on our web site.

Yarn
Trendsetter’s Basis - 75% Cotton, 16% Alpaca, 9% Cashmere, 160 yards (146m)/1.76 oz. (50g)
This stunning yarn combines alpaca and cashmere with cotton. The result is amazing. It feels and knits like a luxurious cashmere alpaca blend, but it is surprisingly 75% cotton. So, if you tend to avoid working with cotton Basis will surely convert you. And it is perfect for all-season garments.
Gauge
24 sts and 32 rows = 4"/10cm in Stockinette after blocking.
