This Peruvian yarn is a blend of soft superwash merino and bamboo and is made with strength and wear-ability in mind. The perfect amount of spring makes knitting with it a pleasure and allows for a variety of suitable gauges. Available in a wide range of lustrous solids, this washable, long lasting yarn is perfect for socks, sweaters, accessories, kid’s garments. For a range of beautiful tonal colorways, see Sueño DK Tonal.
It was the bamboo that is blended with soft merino in Sueño DK yarn that inspired this kimono-style open cardigan. To showcase the simple construction of kimonos this piece is designed to be worked sideways. An openwork stitch pattern is combined with subtle, visible floats to add detail that emphasizes the vertical profile. Two pieces are worked from the cuffs to the center of the back, then joined and finished with a band that caresses the neck. Enjoy the beautiful hand of Sueño as you knit, then slip into your kimono and relax with a cup of green tea.

Yarn: This sweater was designed for the following yarn. 33 color options.
It was René Lacoste, the legendary French tennis player, who first conceived what we know today as the polo shirt. This pattern is inspired by René and designed so every knitter can enjoy the pleasure of hand-crafting a shirt that is as comfortable as the original design from 1929.
The pattern is worked from the top down in one piece so the only seam to be sewn is the body hem. The shoulders and neck are shaped using German short rows, stitches are picked up around the arm hole, the body and arms are worked in the round. Alternating stockinette and twisted stockinette create a subtle sophisticated vertical stripe pattern.
Pattern and Row Checker This pattern includes a list of all abbreviations, glossary of terms, and a crisp schematic with dimensions for proper blocking. It also comes with my unique Row Checker, complimentary. A tool you can use to help keep track of your stitch count, row number, increases, and decreases. Throughout the pattern you'll find indicators of when to refer to your Row Checker.
