Designer Knitting Pattern
It was the bamboo that is blended with soft merino in Sueño DK yarn that inspired this kimono-style open cardigan. To showcase the simple construction of kimonos this piece is designed to be worked sideways. An openwork stitch pattern is combined with subtle, visible floats to add detail that emphasizes the vertical profile. Two pieces are worked from the cuffs to the center of the back, then joined and finished with a band that caresses the neck. Enjoy the beautiful hand of Sueño as you knit, then slip into your kimono and relax with a cup of green tea.
This Peruvian yarn is a blend of soft superwash merino and bamboo and is made with strength and wear-ability in mind. The perfect amount of spring makes knitting with it a pleasure and allows for a variety of suitable gauges. Available in a wide range of lustrous solids, this washable, long lasting yarn is perfect for socks, sweaters, accessories, kid’s garments.
