Free Unique Row Checker

This unique knitwear design results in a sweater that will get scores of compliments for the lucky recipient of your finished work, or plenty of “Wow, you knit this?” praise for yourself. This pattern is designed for yarn of exceptionally high quality paired with the tailored shaping and finishing details of a classic dress shirt, and it’s all done seamlessly. This top-down sweater has sleeves that are picked up and knit off of the body and shaped using short rows, and neither the buttoned cuffs, plackets nor collar require sewing. Clear instructions will guide you step-by-step through this smartly designed sweater, and the finished result could offer a bonus—upgrading your status as a skillful knitter.

Like all top-down sweaters that are worked in one piece without seams, you can easily check the fit—shoulders, chest, sleeves, length—as you knit. If this sweater pattern appears too challenging, don’t hesitate. Haven’t knitted a top-down sweater before? Don’t worry. Here’s a free, printable PDF of top-down knitting instructions.

Pattern and Row Checker
This pattern is nicely printed on card stock in a handy pocket size. A list of all abbreviations, glossary of terms, and a crisp schematic with dimensions for proper blocking are included. It also comes with my unique Row Checker. A tool you can use to help keep track of your stitch count, row number, increases, and decreases. Throughout the pattern you’ll find indicators of when to refer to your Row Checker.

These designs take men's sweaters to a whole new level of luxury and deliciousness. Might have to get a new man once my divorce goes through, just so I can knit him a James Cox Knits sweater.
