This designer knitting pattern combines color blocking with a little intarsia. It features the classic style of competitive rugby teams, a “team crest” and the traditional collar and button placket.

Complimentary StitchSaver™ Row Checker

Designer Knitting Pattern
This designer knitting pattern is worked from the bottom up. The style of the front, back and each sleeve is unique. And all are inspired by different rugby team uniforms. The crest on the bicep is based on the Cox family crest from Scotland. There is a chart to help you work the crest, and there are clear instructions along with our unique row checker for working the collar, button placket and set-in sleeves. Finish off this colorful, sporty knitting project by joining the shoulder seams, sewing the sleeves to the body, then sewing the underarm and side seams. So, are you inspired to knit while watching a little rugby on the telly?

This pattern includes instructions for all sizes, a list of all abbreviations, a schematic for accurate blocking, and a glossary of terms. It is accompanied by our proprietary StitchSaver™ Row Checker. Plus, a link is provided to Knitting Help on our web site.

StitchSaver™ Row Checker

With check off boxes for each row you can put this project aside for a week, a month or a year and return to the exact spot where you stopped.”

Testimonials

Sophisticated, elegant, stylish, chic. After seeing James’ collection, I may give up needlepoint.

These designs take men's sweaters to a whole new level of luxury and deliciousness. Might have to get a new man once my divorce goes through, just so I can knit him a James Cox Knits sweater.
