Pattern
If you want the fun of creating a truly unique tie, Brad is the one for you. The concept for this two-colored interwoven creation is simple. The strip of the tie that is typically hidden behind the wider portion in front is showcased when laced through six small horizontal slits. The seed and linen stitches are combined with what are in fact extended buttonholes resulting in a tie that is fun to knit. The color change occurs under the collar, so the result is intriguing and the person who wears it ends up with a delightful conversation piece hanging from his neck…or yours.

Yarn
Brown Sheep’s Cotton Fine, 80% Pima Cotton, 20% Merino Wool

The cotton makes for a cooler garment while the wool provides more resilience. It has a wonderful hand whether working with it or wearing it.

The on-screen color representations for yarn may not be precise representations of actual colors due to variance in monitor calibrations.

Gauge
9 sts and 13 rows = 1”/2.5cm in seed stitch

Suggested Needles and Notions
The following are recommended but not included in the kit.

  •  US1/2.25mm double-pointed needle - or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Stitch Markers

Testimonials

Sophisticated, elegant, stylish, chic. After seeing James’ collection, I may give up needlepoint.

Patsy A.

These designs take men's sweaters to a whole new level of luxury and deliciousness. Might have to get a new man once my divorce goes through, just so I can knit him a James Cox Knits sweater.
