Double increases are a pair of mirrored stitches either worked inside or adjacent to a seam stitch. Commonly used on raglan sleeved sweaters, or on the sides of the body. Some are quite subtle, others highly visible, and one is invisible. Learn these double increases and you’ll be equipped to match fabric stitch patterns perfectly or enhance garments from lace shawls to ski sweaters.

Testimonials

Sophisticated, elegant, stylish, chic. After seeing James’ collection, I may give up needlepoint.

These designs take men's sweaters to a whole new level of luxury and deliciousness. Might have to get a new man once my divorce goes through, just so I can knit him a James Cox Knits sweater.
